The Slow Food Foundation boarded Kusamba Coarse Salt infused with the colour of the Blue Pea flower. Used across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, the Blue Pea Flower, or Butterfly Pea, is one of the world's few natural sources of true blue colour. It's colour is commonly used in traditional malay kuey.

Among other gushes, these whole salts are feel-good, chemical-free, mineral and heritage rich.

Best Uses:

Sometimes food should be a feast for the eyes as well. Due to the highly usual colour of this salt, it is best used as a finishing salt over desserts - desiccated coconut mix, chocolate, salads, and unsalted butter.

Our principal preoccupation is always: edible whole salts. These go by other close approximations e.g. unrefined salts, macrobiotic salts et al. After which, the salt story becomes our preoccupation. A salt's story is one of the most precise way for you to know about a salt. If you don't read about this under the Product Description, click on Salt Grammar for more info.
