According to this article, a serviceman developed a taste for salt during WWII and subsequently cultured a diet high in salt. After he passed away, the widow won the right to a war widow's pension, linking his death to his high salt diet developed during his service years.

He was 87 at the time of passing.

Essentially, what the widow has done here is that she put forth her case, and has triumphed over, not so much a high salt diet or the army, but time, that eternal foe.

I am all for making the switch to wholesalts, and also, moderation. Unless you live in the tropics. Then you are allowed salt with your biscuits.

Salt tastefully.

Our principal preoccupation is always: edible whole salts. These go by other close approximations e.g. unrefined salts, macrobiotic salts et al. After which, the salt story becomes our preoccupation. A salt's story is one of the most precise way for you to know about a salt. If you don't read about this under the Product Description, click on Salt Grammar for more info.
